In addition to the well respected Perrot TR range of quality hosereel irrigators and Zimmatic range of full size Linear and Pivot irrigators, Lindsay Manufacturing Co. have developed a lateral version of their successful Mini-Pivot, which has been used both on the continent and in America. The Mini-Pivot/Lateral works on the same principal of a standard Linear irrigation system only on a smaller scale. The Mini-Lateral is suitable for applications of 5 to 60 acres. Developed to provide complete coverage for smaller fields or in situations where low ground pressure is essential, these machines are suitable for a broad range of applications, have a maximum length of 207m and give a crop clearance of 6ft.

Production of the system is planned to begin in the Lindsay factory during the winter of 2003/04. The new system will be named “Greenfield 4 Mini-Pivot/ Lateral“.

This system has been viewed going through its initial trials in Brazil, and during the summer of this year also in Spain.

Several dealers from Europe viewed this machine and showed great interest in it, among them was Nigel Smith, Managing Director of RST Irrigation Ltd.
